Our goal is to provide you with the assurance that your home is being well taken care of, is in good repair, and is ready for your return. We provide a variety of standard and optional interior and exterior home check services and will work with you, the homeowner, to create a custom service package designed just for you. Home check intervals and included services will be put together to suit your specific needs and absentee schedule.
You can rest assured knowing that all interior and exterior home checks are handled personally by the owner, Steve and his wife, Cathy. All checks will be performed in unmarked vehicles and the day and time of visits will be changed up periodically to avoid a noticeable home check pattern. A follow-up report including a checklist, status, and pictures (if appropriate) will be provided to the homeowner after each home check.
INTERIOR CHECK
• General walk through of whole residence, all rooms, including garage
• Check for visible water leaks, pests, and window & door damage
• Run water, flushing toilets to clear out pipes of stagnant water
• Check for proper operation of appliances, especially fridge/freezer
• Confirm phone lines, cable/digital TV systems, & security operational
• Check electric service panel for tripped breakers & reset to specs
• Ensure heat/AC functioning properly at requested temperature
• Check all doors & windows locked, open & close blinds, switch lights
• Water potted plants, pick up, sort and forward mail
• Reset thermostat for homeowner arrival/departure or season change
• Provide emergency call-out service, local key holder, ship left items
• Many more services tailored to the homeowner’s needs
EXTERIOR CHECK
• General walk around property, including yard, deck, dock, & porch
• Check for evidence of vandalism and forced entry
• Check for visible missing/damaged shingles, siding, gutters
• Check for damage to decks, railings, patios, other out-buildings
• Remove downed limbs and small trees
• Ensure boat, cover, recreational vehicles & dock furniture secure
• Check propane gas levels on tanks (heating, grill, etc.)
• Remove papers, advertisements, trash from yard
• Blow leaves from deck, patio, and/or porch
• Start and idle auto and/or recreational vehicles
• Look for flooding and drainage problems
